According to Mr Yeboah, the appointment of Mr Debrah to the Chief of Staff position by President Mahama could be one of the best appointments the president had made so far.

He also said that Mr Debrah was a politician he had interacted with and could be described as not just a politician but a statesman.

“He loves his country, respects President Mahama, is proud of the potential of his government against all odds and still loves his party, NDC,” he stated.

“Unless he changes in his new appointment, Mr Debrah has a teachable spirit and respects dissenting views across the political divide. Most importantly, he is wise, has the spirit of leadership and is a team player.

“I have no doubt that he can manage the President’s office well,” he concluded.

Mr Debrah, who was appointed Chief of Staff after Mr Prosper Douglas Bani was relieved of his post, had previously held the posts of Minister of Local Government and Rural Development Minister; Eastern Regional Minister and Greater Accra Regional Minister.

He is also a former Executive Director at Ghana Tourist Board. He attended the University of Ghana and Achimota School.
