The chaos that ensued after the visit of Mr Glover

NPP primaries: Near chaos at Dome Kwabenya

There was near chaos at Dome Kwabenya constituency in the Greater Accra region when the Member of Parliament for Tema East, Mr Daniel Nii Kwartei Titus Glover visited the New Patriotic Party (NPP) polling centre to solidarise with his colleague law maker and member of Parliament for the area, Adwoa Sarfo.

Graphiconline reporter, Salomey Appiah reports that supporters of Ms Safo’s opponent, Mr Isaac Amofa, got offended by the action.

According to Mr Amofa’s supporters, by his action Mr Glover had declared his support for Ms Safo indirectly in a contest in which he was expected to be neutral.

But speaking on Joy FM, Mr Glover said he did nothing wrong.

“I was there to solidarise with my colleague in Parliament. Delegates who have come to cast their votes know who they will vote for. They have taken their decision already.”

“They should not hide behind these excuses and accept it before the votes are counted. I have nothing untoward. If it is my turn, they’ll join me. Those at the other side think I was there to influence the elections.

“I shook hands with others as well and not only delegates,” he said.
