President inaugurates 4 more NDC working committees

President John Dramani Mahama has called on  members of the  working committees of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) to bring their talents to bear on the work of the party to make it  successful in the 2016 Elections and beyond.

He said they should not allow “the boring work of attending committee meetings deter them from contributing their quota to making the NDC a successful  party with a difference”.

“I can tell you that as a committee member before, the work of attending committee meetings could be boring but it is an important work that makes a party successful,’’ the President declared.

The President gave the advice when he inaugurated four more working  committees of the party in Accra yesterday. The four committees are the Political; Complaints and Conflict Resolution; Legal; and Disciplinary committees.

The first batch of five working committees were inaugurated by the National Chairman, Mr Kofi Portuphy, last Tuesday.

They were Elections, Economic, Communications, Social Services and Finance  working committees.

The President commended the past executives of the party for building a strong and dynamic party and urged the current  executives to continue building the party into a more formidable one.

The President was accompanied to the inaugural ceremony by the Vice-President, Paa Kwasi Amissah Arthur, the National Chairman, Mr Kofi Portuphy, the General Secretary, Mr Asiedu Nketia, the National Women’s Organiser, Hajia Zenaib Mahama, and  a number  of dignitaries.
