Change in governance

Speaking to the Daily Graphic, Mr Saku called for a change in the governance of the nation.

He said it was important for members of the UPP to intensify public education so as to win more supporters to make an impact in the 2016 polls.

According to him, the youth of the country were confused and frustrated because many of them could not find jobs after leaving school and said the situation was even aggravated by some workers who were of age but refused to retire and thus blocked opportunities for the youth.

Mr Saku also said the party, if voted into power, would revive the collapsing National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) and ensure that it covered all medicines essential for life.

Concerning education, he said the UPP would make teachers happy and pay them better wages to merit their input into the training of other professionals.

He said policies would be implemented to make agriculture more attractive to farmers, adding that farmers were not happy at all under present circumstances.
