The Vice President, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, has on behalf of President John Dramani Mahama held a farewell meeting with the outgoing Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Ghana, His Excellency Abdulfatah Ahmed Khalifa Al Sattari.
The meeting was attended by the Palestinian Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Her Excellency Varsen Aghabekian, and Ghana’s Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. James Gyakye Quayson.
The engagement marked the conclusion of Ambassador Al Sattari’s eleven years of distinguished diplomatic service in Ghana.
Professor Opoku-Agyemang commended the ambassador for the consistency, warmth and professionalism with which he discharged his duties, noting the positive impact of his work on Ghana–Palestine relations.
She expressed the government’s appreciation for Ambassador Al Sattari’s contribution to strengthening bilateral ties and promoting mutual understanding between the two countries.
Professor Opoku-Agyemang thanked the outgoing ambassador for his service and dedication, and wished him well in his future endeavours.
She expressed her confidence that the strong bonds he helped to build between Ghana and the State of Palestine would continue to endure.
