Volta Region CPP supports Dr Delle as National Chairman
The Volta Regional Branch of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) has declared its support for Dr Edmund Delle to become the party’s national chairman in the upcoming national delegates’ congress.

The regional and constituency executive members had observed that as one of the most experienced leaders of the party, Dr Delle, a former national chairman of the party, deserves to lead the party again.
Speaking at a press conference in Ho, the Regional Chairman, Mr Thomas A.K.M. Ntumy said the entire membership in the region had endorsed Dr Delle’s candidature because he was a person who could increase the membership of the party as he did in the past.
Remarkable Progress
Mr Ntumy stated that it was during Dr Delle’s tenure of office in 2004 and 2007 as National chairman that the party saw remarkable progress with two seats in Parliament.
He stated that ‘Comrade Delle has remained committed, dedicated and loyal to the cause of the CPP.’
‘’Even though Comrade Delle lost the chairmanship race in 2011, he has continued to be active and supportive of the party,’’ he indicated.
Aside from that, the regional chairman stated that Dr Delle could be trusted to lead in the effort of uniting the entire Nkrumaist family.
Mr Ntumy called on all members of the party to rally behind Dr Delle to restore the CPP to its proper place in Ghanaian politics.

He,however, stated that the party believed in democracy and therefore the regional branch would still welcome any other candidate who desires to contest as the national chairman.
‘’Although we have openly declared our support for Dr Delle, we would work with anybody who is elected as the chairman because we are one family working towards a goal,’’ he added.
