CHAN 2014: Ghana and Nigeria duel is on

With a must-win game between perennial rivals Ghana and Nigeria on the cards, the pre-match boasting rights have been fairly shared as expected.

Claims of “Ghana must go” and “There’s no stopping us” have come from the camp of the Super Eagles, met in equal measure with taunts of “End of road for Nigeria” and “Black Stars will clip Eagles wings” from the Stars camp.

But the time is ticking away towards kick-off, and in place of the loud boasts, a sudden apprehension has settled.

At 18:30GMT the Ghanaians will welcome their Nigerian opponents to Bloemfontein where the stage has already been set. Will Ghana continue to have her way against their ‘big brothers’ or Stephen Keshi’s men have what it takes to buck that long search since 2006 to beat Ghana?
