Hearts overpower Dreams
Accra Hearts of Oak’s top scorer, Cosmos Dauda, yesterday propelled the Phobians to the second place on the league log as he scored the only goal in their 1-0 win over Dreams FC in their Premier League encounter at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Dauda, who scored five goals in the first round, capitalised on a blunder by a former goalie of Hearts, Philemon McCarthy, in his 18 yard to score the only goal of the match in the 61st minute..
Hearts were guided by Portuguese trainer Sergio Daniel Moniz Traguil, who issued instuctions to his assistant Yaw Preko who took charge of yesterday’s game as he could not get into the inner perimeter due to issues with his working permit.
Playing before their fans for the first time after playing behind closed doors for three games, following sanctions imposed on them by the FA’s disciplinary committee, the Phobians, who seemed to have put the untimely departure of coach Kenichi Yastuhashi behind them, dictated the pace of the game, turning their opponents into mere passengers.
Back from injury Samudeen joined forces with Inusah Musah, Patrick Razak and Cosmos Dauda to pile pressure on goalie Philemon MacCarthy who saved the day for Dreams FC.
