Hearts silence Tema Youth

A sensational strike by Accra Hearts of Oak skipper, Thomas Abbey, yesterday gave his side a deserving 3-1 victory over Tema Youth at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Abbey scored a world class goal to put the icing on the cake after his 30th minute stike from the penalty spot and Kwame Kizito’s header in the 57th minute gave the home side a good cushion as they dominated the game from the blast of the whistle.

GRA maintain lead in Sapholda Hockey League

League leaders, Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), maintained their grip on the Sapholda Hockey League by whipping fifth-placed Reformers 7-2 at the Theodosia Okoh Hockey Stadium in Accra last Saturday.

The IBF has ordered two world title elimination fights to produce mandatory challengers for its belts at lightweight and junior lightweight.

On Thursday, it ordered Alejandro Luna and Richard Commey, the leading available contenders according to the organization's rankings, to meet for the right to become the mandatory challenger for the 135-pound world title held by Robert Easter Jr.
