Adwoa Bayor: Immigration will fight to escape relegation

Former Black Queens skipper and Immigration Ladies striker, Adwoa Bayor, has called on supporters of the club not to give up on them as they strive to navigate out of the relegation zone of the Women’s Premier League.

Immigration Ladies are caught in a relegation battle with just three points and are rooted at the foot of the southern zone league log without a win this season as the first round of the competition ends this weekend.

Confidence

However, the veteran player is confident that with support from their fans, Immigration can safely wither the storm and bring their campaign back on track.

Speaking to the Daily Graphic yesterday, Bayor attributed the team’s problems to petty mistakes they committed which cost them in matches, but she added that they were ready to right the wrongs beginning Saturday when they travel to Elmina to play Sea Lions at the Dr Nduom Sports Complex.

Poor run

This season, Immigration have lost three games, with their heaviest defeat being a 0-4 drubbing at the hands of Hasaacas Ladies. They have lost 0-1 each to LadyStrikers and Soccer Intellectuals in the eight-team competition.
