Asamoah returns to training days after withdrawing from Ghana squad
Ghanaian midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah has been pictured training with his Italian Serie A club Inter Milan, two days after he withdrew from a Ghana squad which faces Ethiopia in a 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Group F qualifier because of injury.
However, the 29-year-old was on Wednesday pictured alongside other Inter Milan players who are not on international duty jogging in training.
Asamoah reportedly had a swollen knee in the aftermath of Inter's 4-1 away loss against Atlanta in the Italian Serie A on Sunday but showed no ill effects yesterday as he was put through his paces by Inter coach Luciano Spalleti.
Asamoah and his Inter teammates including Radja Nainggolan, Keita Balde, Borja Valero and Samir Handanović participated in some gym and pitch drills.
