Bashir Hayford praises his coaching experience, claims his football knowledge is now at its peak
Head Coach of Kpando Heart of Lions, Bashir Hayford, has emphasized his extensive coaching experience as his team gears up for the 2024-2025 Ghana Premier League season.
The seasoned coach touched on his coaching background in detail, with Heart of Lions set to face Accra Hearts of Oak in the Gbese Mantse Homowo Peace Charity Cup on Sunday, August 11, at the Accra Sports Stadium.

This friendly match is part of both teams' preseason preparations and aims to promote peace ahead of Ghana’s Presidential and Parliamentary Elections in December.
Having returned to the Ghana Premier League from international assignments to rescue Heart of Lions from relegation, Hayford, who has previously managed Asante Kotoko and AshGold, remains confident that he has much more to contribute.
I’m still alive, I’m still working, I’m still green. When I came back from Somalia, I decided to rest for a season. People wrote them (Heart of Lions) off that they are gone… so I took the challenge and I was able to sustain them in the Premiership. It has given us the experience to thrive on, the experience to see what we can do to not enter into the same situation again,” he told ChannelOne Sports.
“It will let Ghanaians know I’m still coaching, I’m still strong, I still have the knowledge, my knowledge now is so pure that I have matured with the knowledge," he added.
