Coventry City completes signing of Black Stars forward Brandon Thomas-Asante
Coventry City have completed the signing of Brandon Thomas-Asante from West Bromwich Albion following a dramatic week when the player was all set to join Hull.
The Sky Blues nipped in on the deal on Tuesday and the 25-year-old striker - who has worked with first team coach George Boateng in the Ghana national team - opted to move to the CBS Arena instead.

The hard-working front man, who can also play wide, has signed a four year contract with City, having joined for an undisclosed fee, believed to be in excess of £2million.
“We’re excited to welcome Brandon to Coventry City," said City manager Mark Robins.
“He is a powerful and pacy striker who has goalscoring pedigree at this level plus a great attitude and work-rate.
“Brandon can play across the front line and will further strengthen our attacking options. We look forward to working with him at Coventry City”
Thomas-Asante began his career with hometown side Milton Keynes Dons, where he made his professional debut in 2016 aged 17. After spells on loan with Sutton United and Oxford City, he left Milton Keynes in 2019 having made 35 appearances.
After a brief spell at Ebbsfleet United, Brandon joined Salford City in League Two where he flourished – playing 126 games and scoring 30 goals, and winning the EFL Trophy.

His form at Salford earned a move to West Bromwich Albion in the Championship at the start of the 2022/23 campaign. Playing as a striker, Thomas-Asante was the top goalscorer in both of his two seasons at West Brom – scoring 9 and then 12 goals in the 22/23 and 23/24 seasons respectively. In total he played 78 games for the Baggies. He has also been capped by Ghana.
