Atsu: Former President Mahama’s tribute
Since the news on Christian Atsu's death broke out, many have shared emotional testimonies on the personality of the Ghanaian striker.
Even non-Ghanaians who have benefited from the generosity of Atsu have all taken to the various social media platform to share them.
Many social media platform have been flooded tributes and testimonies of Atsu's philanthropic duties.
Joining the masses with his tribute too, is the former President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama.
In a post on Facebook, the former President said:
"We all held our breaths, and we prayed as we heard the miracles of people pulled out of the rubble.
We prayed that ours would be one of those miracles, too. Alas, it was not to be. But in all, we give thanks to the almighty God for giving Atsu to us even for the short 31 years of his life."
The former President in his tribute also sympathised with Atsu's family, the football community and all the fans and lovers of the Black Stars' striker.
Atsu was found dead in his apartment on Saturday morning, February 18, 2023, following an earthquake that hit almost two weeks ago in Türkiye.
