Ghana qualifies for 2025 ITTF African Championships
Ghana’s women’s table tennis team have officially booked their place at the ITTF African Championships 2025, set to take place from October 12 to 19 in Tunis, Tunisia.
The tournament will serve as Africa’s qualifier for the 2026 World Table Tennis Championships in London, making Ghana’s participation even more significant.
The team earned their slot after a remarkable performance at the 2025 West African Regional Championships in Nigeria, where they battled their way to a bronze medal finish.
That achievement secured Ghana one of the three qualification spots available in the women’s category, alongside Nigeria and Benin.
The African Championships promises to be one of the biggest platforms for the continent’s top players, bringing together elite teams through regional qualifiers, world rankings, and wild cards.
For Ghana, this qualification marks a huge step forward in showcasing the growing strength and determination of its women’s side.
With the competition just weeks away, all eyes will be on the Ghanaian ladies as they prepare to represent the nation with pride on the continental stage — and with the added motivation of a ticket to London 2026 at stake.
