The course, which starts from January 15-17, will be held in three different course centres across all 10 regions of the country.

The IHF has designated a course expert to handle the nine-day programme which climaxes on January 24 in Bolgatanga.

According to Nortey Dowuona, vice-chairman of the Handball Association of Ghana (HAG) and the Greater Accra Regional Handball chairman, the workshop is to upgrade the technical capabilities of physical instructors and teachers in schools.

“It is also aimed at equipping them with the needed skills in conformity with the new trends in handball’, he told the Daily Graphic.

The seminar comprises participants from the Eastern and Volta regions.

The programme will then move to Sekondi-Takoradi from January 19 to 21 for participants from Central, Ashanti and Brong-Ahafo regions to upgrade themselves in the game.

The final workshop will be organised in Bolgatanga for participants from the Northern, Upper East and Upper West regions.

The General Secretary of HAG, Charles Amofah, noted that participants would receive certificate and other awards at the end of the course.

Interested participants should register with their respective Regional P.E. Coordinators and Regional Sports Directors at a fee of GH¢50.
