Former Accra Hearts of Oak striker, Mahatma Otoo, last Monday maintained his scoring form when he led an assault on Sandness in the second tier league and beat them 2-1 in a thrilling encounter at Sandness.
The Ghanaian international kept his side’s hopes to return to the Tippeliggaen alive with a classic third minute strike.
He chested a miskick from Sandness’ defender, Deccamps, from some 45 yards, outpaced two defenders before lobbing the ball over advancing goalkeeping G. Halldorso.
Sogndal scored again in the 26th minute through H Patronen and held on till AB Skjovlvik got a consolation for the homesters in the 60th minute.
The result keeps Sogndal on top with 23 points, two points ahead of Hodd FC after 10 games.
