Ghana Premier League side Medeama SC have been eliminated from the 2024/25 MTN FA Cup after losing 4-2 on penalties to Division One League side PAC Academy in the Round of 16.
The match, held at the TNA Stadium, ended in a 1-1 draw after 90 minutes, leading to a penalty shootout, where the lower-tier PAC Academy triumphed 4-2.
Medeama took the lead early, with Mubarik Yussif converting a penalty just four minutes into the game. However, PAC Academy responded quickly, equalizing three minutes later with a penalty of their own.
The teams went into halftime 1-1, and despite efforts in the second half, neither side could find the net again, forcing the game to penalties.

PAC Academy converted all four of their penalty kicks, while Medeama missed their second and fourth attempts, resulting in their elimination from the competition.
