He asserted that the Black Stars could be turned into a money-making machine to the benefit of the seven national soccer teams and even the leastfinanced sporting disciplines in the country.
He regretted that the success of the Black Stars over the past nine years had not impacted positively on the local league.
“I can brand the Black Stars and leverage it for huge sponsorship packages for the benefit of all the national teams and even the lesser-known sports,” the confident looking Boakye told the Graphic Sports.
Mr Boakye bemoaned the situation where the Black Stars moved from one hotel to another in the country in search for camping placed, arguing, that should never happen to a team with so much achievement within a decade.
“We can solicit for sponsorship from corporate institutions and build a nice facility which could serve as a home for the Black Stars”.
He added that such an edifice could be branded in the corporate image of any of the companies and paid for by them.

“I single-handedly secured a $24 million sponsorship for the Premier League and I know how to use the Stars to make money,” he stressed.
He insisted he was in the race to make Ghana football an attractive enterprise for the benefit of the country and vowed to unseat the incumbent president.
“I will launch my campaign soon and I call on the delegates to make the right decision for the good of mother Ghana”, he noted.
