Police arrest Baffuor Gyan for assaulting Graphic Staff
The Ashanti Regional Police Command has arrested Baffuor Gyan, the brother of Black Stars skipper, Asamoah Gyan, for leading a gang to assault Mr Daniel Kenu, the Ashanti Regional Editor of the Daily Graphic in Kumasi.
Baffuor Gyan, in the company of six well-built men (macho men) last Friday evening pounced on and subjected Mr Kenu to severe beatings at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium where he was going to pick up his media accreditation to cover the 2015 AFCON qualifier against Uganda this afternoon.

At the time of going to press, Baffuor Gyan was writing his statement at the regional police headquarters and according to the regional Public Relations Officer, ASP Mohammed Yusif Tanko, investigations would commence immediately.
Mr Kenu, a seasoned sports reporter with over two decades experience, last Wednesday asked the Black Starts skipper, at a press conference to seize the opportunity to share his side of the story regarding the disappearance of his friend, hip-life icon, Castro who is believed to have drowned at Ada, whiles partying with Asamoah Gyan.
This was because a day earlier to the press conference, some fans had publicly insulted and alleged that Asamoah Gyan had used Castro for rituals. The police had to come in and scare the irate fans away from the Baba Yara Sport stadium where the team was training.
But at the press conference, the GFA Boss, Mr Kwesi Nyantakyi, had described Mr Kenu’s question as unpalatable and at a wrong forum and asked the player not to answer.
Surprisingly, a group of young men who were later identified as radio presenters in Kumasi heckled the Graphic reporter.
When all thought that the matter had been laid to rest, because both the GFA boss and the Black Stars Coach, Kwesi Appiah had had pleasant discussions with the Graphic reporter, who they had known in football circles for years, Baffuor Gyan allegedly led his group to beat the reporter without any provocation.
