World Table Tennis Championships in London ‘fertile ground’ for Ghana – GTTA Communications Director
The Director of Communications for the Ghana Table Tennis Association (GTTA), Nathaniel Kwesi Somuah, says the World Table Tennis Championships in London in April 2026 will serve as “fertile ground” for Ghana to elevate the sport to the next level.
According to him, Ghana will be seeking opportunities for players and coaches, while also exploring equipment sponsorship deals.
Mr Somuah, who will lead the GTTA Communications Team at the championship, said: “We will be looking at opportunities for technical cooperation with advanced countries. It will be great to have our coaches gain experience in Asia and Europe and return home with relevant knowledge and hands-on experience to share with players and fellow coaches.”
He mentioned that during the 2018 World Table Tennis Championships in Sweden, the GTTA signed a sponsorship deal with Stag International for the supply of equipment. The Association is therefore looking forward to upgrading that package at this year’s edition in London.
Mr Somuah has served as Director of Communications of the Ghana Table Tennis Association since 2015.
