2013 AGI Industry Awards underway at State Banquet Hall
The second edition of the Ghana Industry Awards is underway at the State Banquet Hall in Accra.
This year's edition is the second in a row after the maiden one was held last year.
The event aims at recognising industries that have distinguished themselves in the respective sectors in the previous year while encouraging others to improve upon their operations.
It is organised to coincide with the Ghana Industrialization Week celebration, which runs from November 20.
The week-long event also coincides with the Africa Industrialization Day (AID) and was used to launch a special promotion on Made in Ghana products.
The organisation of the award is done by a technical committee, which is constituted by the association and in consultation with its atonal council.
The categories of winners are often selected in line with the various categories in the association's operations.
In each category, two companies are often nominated and one awarded.
