Advans Ghana Savings and Loans has expanded its national footprint with the inauguration of a new branch in Takoradi, reinforcing its commitment to providing accessible financial services to businesses and individuals in the Western Region.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Guillaume Valence, said the Takoradi branch forms part of a broader strategy to support traders, farmers, fishers and service providers who drive economic activity in the region. “We are here for the business community; traders, farmers, fishers, and service providers, because we believe in relationships and in understanding the needs of our clients,” he stated.

Advans Ghana now serves more than 145,000 clients across the country and operates with a workforce of over 700 staff. The new branch increases its total network to 21, spanning Accra, Kumasi, Tamale, Techiman and other commercial hubs. Mr. Valence revealed that five more branches are expected to open next year as the company accelerates its expansion plan.

With more than 17 years of operations in Ghana, the company has disbursed over 250,000 loans worth more than GH¢4 billion. In 2025 alone, it released 13,000 loans valued at GH¢745 million to support micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) and individuals. Its financial services portfolio includes savings, deposits and loan products, enhanced by digital channels such as the ‘My Advans App’ and the ‘MobiBank’ platform, which enable secure and convenient transactions.

Mr. Valence assured customers that their funds and data remain protected, citing the institution’s supervision by the Bank of Ghana and its ISO 27001 certification for information security.

The Chief Sales and Distribution Officer, Mrs. Barbara Odei, attributed the company’s growth to its relationship-focused approach. She said Advans Ghana’s model prioritises customised service. “At Advans, every client is unique and has specific needs. Our relationship management culture enables us to provide tailored financial solutions and serve customers at the point of their individuality. This is what sets us apart,” she noted.

She added that constant feedback and engagement with clients continue to shape the company’s products and customer experience.

The Branch Manager for Takoradi, Mr. Seth Ofori, expressed confidence in the branch’s potential to contribute to local economic development. He thanked management for the strategic investment and pledged to uphold the institution’s values of integrity and excellence. “The establishment of this branch shows our dedication to serving the vibrant Takoradi community and contributing to local economic growth. We pledge to deliver exceptional service and tailored financial solutions that promote business development and stability,” he said.

A client of the new branch, Madam Rita Nwolley, praised Advans Ghana for its customer-focused service delivery, urging traders and small business owners to take advantage of the financial support available to expand their operations.

Advans Ghana, a subsidiary of Advans International headquartered in Paris, now operates across nine regions and continues to focus on micro, small and medium-sized enterprises while also serving individual clients.
