The Bank of Ghana has dismissed reports that it has banned the opening of new dollar accounts in the country.
In a public notice, the Central Bank said it had not issued any directive to local banks in that regard.
"Public Notice: Bank of Ghana has not issued any directive to local banks to stop the opening of new dollar accounts," the bank tweeted.
