Jannice Tagoe to host maiden LinkedIn Women’s Connect Conference in Accra
Ghanaian digital marketer and humanitarian advocate, Jannice Tagoe, is spearheading a groundbreaking initiative to unite professional women across the country under a shared vision of impact, mentorship, and leadership.
In collaboration with two non-governmental organisations, the Alliance for Women Economic Development (AWED) International and the BH Foundation, Ms. Tagoe will host the first-ever LinkedIn Women’s Connect conference on Saturday, April 26, 2025. The invitation-only event is set to take place at Yaya La Parisienne in Labone, Accra, from 3pm.
The conference is being organised with support from the LinkedIn Local Accra team and seeks to bring together influential Ghanaian women from diverse professional backgrounds to connect, collaborate, and share experiences. The platform is designed to encourage open dialogue, peer mentorship, and long-term networking among female professionals who are using LinkedIn to grow their personal and organisational brands.
The goal, organisers say, is to build a vibrant and supportive community that can contribute meaningfully to Ghana’s professional and economic development by equipping women with tools and relationships for success.
Speaking ahead of the event, Ms. Tagoe described the conference as a strategic opportunity to nurture a stronger community of Ghanaian women on LinkedIn. “This is more than just a networking event,” she noted. “It’s about creating a platform where Ghanaian women on LinkedIn can build real relationships, share actionable insights, and inspire one another to lead with purpose.”
The conference will feature presentations, fireside chats, and networking sessions aimed at bridging generational and industry gaps among female professionals, while highlighting the success stories of trailblazing Ghanaian women across sectors.
Jannice Tagoe is widely regarded as one of Ghana’s most influential female voices on LinkedIn. With over 84,000 followers, she has become a daily source of inspiration for young professionals, particularly women, who seek guidance on career development, branding, and purposeful living. She has facilitated numerous online and in-person training sessions for university students and young professionals, including at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), the University of Ghana, and the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).
Her work in digital marketing and humanitarian initiatives has earned her multiple awards and recognition across Ghana’s corporate and development spaces.
By partnering with AWED International and the BH Foundation—both champions of women’s economic empowerment—Ms. Tagoe hopes to use this new LinkedIn Women’s Connect platform to drive a movement of action-oriented, digitally empowered women across Ghana.
“The long-term impact of this is immense,” Ms. Tagoe added. “We’re planting seeds of influence and collaboration that will ripple across industries, from boardrooms to startups and beyond.”
The event is expected to attract senior executives, entrepreneurs, students, content creators, and civil society leaders—all women who are using LinkedIn as a tool for transformation.
