TotalEnergies Ghana profit rises 9%; declares final dividend of GH¢2.3
TotalEnergies Marketing Ghana PLC recorded a profit after tax of GH¢319.08 million for the year ended December 31, 2025, representing a 9.3 per cent increase from the GH¢291.92 million reported in the previous year, according to the company’s audited financial statements released on March 31, 2026.
The financial statements, signed by Managing Director Daniel Mayieka and Chairman Philippe Ebanga, showed that total revenue from contracts with customers stood at GH¢5.60 billion, compared to GH¢6.14 billion in 2024. The decline in revenue was attributed to lower taxes and levies, which fell to GH¢992.29 million from GH¢883.55 million.
Profit before tax increased to GH¢467.87 million from GH¢424.32 million in the prior year. Income tax expense for the year amounted to GH¢148.79 million, up from GH¢132.40 million.
Basic earnings per share improved to 2.85 pesewas from 2.61 pesewas.
The directors recommended a final dividend of GH¢2.3375 per share, amounting to GH¢261.51 million for the 2025 financial year. This brings the total dividend for the year to GH¢3.2245 per share, totalling GH¢360.74 million, unchanged from the previous year.
The company’s total assets stood at GH¢1.67 billion, down from GH¢1.94 billion in 2024, while total liabilities decreased to GH¢1.12 billion from GH¢1.33 billion. Total equity amounted to GH¢552.60 million.
Cash and cash equivalents at year-end were GH¢95.23 million, compared to GH¢170.89 million in 2024. Cash generated from operating activities increased to GH¢451.53 million from GH¢311.45 million.
Trade receivables amounted to GH¢428.37 million, down from GH¢531.97 million. Trade payables stood at GH¢344.30 million compared to GH¢402.08 million in the prior year.
The company’s subsidiary, Ghanstock Limited Company, in which TotalEnergies holds a 55 per cent stake, recorded a net liability position of GH¢27.88 million at year-end, exceeding the company’s investment of GH¢274,000.
During the year, the company disposed of its 48.5 per cent shareholding in Ghana Bunkering Services Limited for GH¢4.26 million, with a resulting profit of GH¢862,000.
The audit fee for the year was GH¢837,000 for the group and GH¢617,000 for the company. PricewaterhouseCoopers served as the company’s auditors.
