e-Crime Bureau adjudged Cyber Security Company of the Year at GIITA Awards
Cybersecurity and investigations firm, e-Crime Bureau, was adjudged the cybersecurity company of the year for the second time running at the 9th edition of the Ghana Information Technology and Telecommunications Awards (GITTA).
The annual event, organised by Instinct Wave, seeks to celebrate individuals and institutions whose works have over the past year promoted innovation and excellence in Ghana’s Information Communication Technology (ICT) sector.

A statement issued by the company said e-Crime Bureau beat competition from other notable players within the cybersecurity industry to emerge the winner after going through a rigorous selection and evaluation process.
It said the Bureau’s Cyber Threat Intelligence Team had built industry standard cyber threat intelligence infrastructure to support organisations across every sector to proactively control the impact of cyber attacks.
“This technology has helped institutions to anticipate, plan and prepare their IT security against any cyber attack. e-Crime Bureau has over the years upgraded and deployed a Passport Verification Software (P3) Tool for institutions to address the growing fraud trends involved in the use of fake passports (whether Ghanaian or passports of other nationalities) for transactions,” it said.
Receiving the award on behalf of the company, a Senior Consultant of e-Crime Bureau, Dr Suzanne Nti, expressed joy for the industry’s recognition which affirms e-Crime Bureau’s commitment to maintain its leadership in cybersecurity and investigation not only in Ghana, but also in Africa.
She said the recognition would spur the e-Crime Bureau team to go the extra mile to improve upon delivery standards to meet international consulting best practices and exceed the expectations of its clients and stakeholders.

Vice President Dr Mahammadu Bawumia, graced the occasion as the special guest of honour and received the award as the Digital Leader of the Year for his phenomenal contribution to Ghana’s digital economy journey.
