SSNIT Cape Coast office still open
The Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) has said its Cape Coast office is open to business.
The office was temporarily closed last Monday by the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly (CCMA) over an alleged non-payment of property rates and business operating permit.
In a release issued by the Trust to debunk the claims by CCMA, it said ““The Trust does not owe the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly because it had duly paid its property rate to the assembly.
Consequently, it said SSNIT “wishes to inform the public that its Cape Coast branch remains open for business”.
It described as unfortunate, attempts by officers from the assembly to lock up the office, temporarily interrupting business.
The release added that contributors, pensioners and the public could access services at all the Trust’s offices, including the Cape Coast branch as well as all its available digital platforms.
