One for DKB
Stand-up comedian DKB has come under immense scrutiny over the last few days.
This began after his performance at the Easter Comedy Show where his jokes left a bad taste in the mouths of many patrons, most notable of which was the former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings.

The former First Lady’s comments that DKB was a boring comedian went viral with some members of the public and pundits offering differing viewpoints on the matter. Comedy by its very nature is subjective and irrespective of how good a comedian is, there will still be some who will remain unmoved by the jokes.
The important thing to note in this whole sage has been DKB’s maturity and diplomacy in handling the criticism he has come under. According to media reports, DKB has accepted the fact that his jokes fell flat during the performance and even acknowledged that fame has made him arrogant.
This is a good sign and an indication that DKB is ready to go back to the drawing board and come back to offer Ghanaians the quality of jokes over which he has become known as the “King of Ghanaian Comedy.”
Although DKB has attained nationwide recognition, he is still fairly young in the profession and there will definitely be more platforms and opportunities for him to show that he still has what it takes to be ranked among the biggest comedians in the country. Showbiz urges DKB to take what has happened over the past week as a chance to refresh his act and come back even stronger and better than before.
