Performing on International Women’s Day, which formed part of this year’s  Celebrating Accra Arts Festival, Moses exhibited attractive showmanship as he moved across the huge stage while engaging the audience with anecdotes in praise of women all over the world.

He offered  a curious blend of Afro beat, reggae, funk, jazz, raga and salsa that swayed the audience who cheered and applauded.

Indeed, he sent the crowd on a musical journey that brought nostalgic memories to elderly members of the audience with some of his old compositions that have rocked several festivals throughout the world.

Led by guitarist Akablay, the Abiza Band earlier delighted the crowd with a brilliant  fusion of Nzema tempos mixed with a variety of rhythms.

With lyrics in various languages, the Abiza  band employed melody, harmony and rhythm in a delightful way that created an encounter between musical generations and traditions.

DANIDA, Ghana Denmark Cultural Fund, Danish Embassy in Accra, Accra Metropolitan Assembly, Goethe-Institut, British Council and the Alliance Française are supporting Celebrating Accra Arts Festival 2014, which is being organised by the Institute for Music and Development.
