MTN Hit-Maker gets more intense

Original has been the hallmark of the MTN Hit-Maker music talent show since its inception in 2012 and the nine remaining contestants in the Season IV edition endeared themselves to the live audience with their own brilliant renditions at the National Theatre during the Week Three eviction show.

Obviously goaded on by the Ghc100,000 prize up for grabs by the eventual winner, the wannabe stars displayed what many in the audience later described as ‘the fiercest showdown’ since this new edition took off.

An eviction had been slated to happen before the performance and Twice was the unlucky guy. It means he is out together with Adwoa and Colours.

Remaining now are Glory, CJ, Abena, Kidi, Awurama, Gunshot, One Day, Efo and Yaw. Performing to beats created by Kaywa, Magnon and Richie, they excited both audience and judges who on the night were made up of Okyeame Kwame, Eazzy and Akwesi Aboagye.

Who next exits the contest would be known tonight, August 27, at the National Theatre as the contestants return for another round of musical battle.

The competition keeps getting more and more intense and audiences are itching for the end of September when the person to snatch the ultimate prize would be known.

The beat makers are also keeping their fingers tightly crossed as the one to emerge tops among them will also take away Ghc10,000.

Followers of the contest can vote for their favourite contestants by texting his or her name to MTN short code 1762 on MTN and all other networks.

The MTN Hit-Maker contest is supported by Huawei and Oak Plaza Hotel and produced by Charterhouse.
