There’s no African artiste apart from me – Shatta Wale
Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale, has declared that there is no African artiste apart from him in Ghana.
He made this assertion on Bang Radio in London when he was billed to perform at the Wembley Arena. In an interview with Mc Timmy and DJ Yung Milli, Shatta Wale was asked to name his top three African artistes. He did not hesitate to mention the names of Davido, D’Banj, and 2Face.
When asked why he did not mention the name of any Ghanaian artiste, Shatta answered by saying “there is no African artiste apart from me in Ghana.”
He also spoke about the life of Ghanaian musicians, saying Ghanaian rappers are broke rappers who borrow clothes and cars for awards.
In the 25 minutes interview, the self-acclaimed dancehall king talked about his ongoing feud with Chatter House. According to him, Chatter House has taken Hiplife to be their business, making money out of it so he (Shatta Wale) bringing dancehall was a threat to the event organization.
