Another MTN carols night here
For the fourth year running, telecommunication giant MTN will give a cross-section of the public an opportunity to enjoy Christmas carols rendered by some of our popular artistes on Friday, December 19 at the Accra International Conference Centre.

The galaxy of stars slated for this year’s concert are Kwaku Gyasi, Kwaw Kese, Okyeame Kwame, Miriam, El Dunamis Choir, Nicholas Omane Acheampong and Ofie Kodjoe.
Three of the finalists at this year’s MTN Hit-Maker talent contest will also be there. They are Koo Ntakara, Cano-Z and K Bee.
“Christmas is a time of giving and reflecting on what the New Year has to offer and we want our customers to join us as we thank the Lord for a successful year,” said Admiral Abbey of MTN Ghana’s Events Department.
MTN Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols has been a well-attended affair since its inception. There is always a surprise component and patrons at last year’s event cheered loudly for Kwaw Kese when he came on stage with a live fowl dressed in pampers and did Jingle Bells as well as a hilarious Fante version of the Little Drummer Boy.
Other performers on the night also treated well-known local and foreign Christmas songs in their own special ways. Some of them got the audience singing, dancing and jumping for more.
“Last year was a blast but this year’s will be a bigger blast,” says Ivan Quashigah whose Farmhouse company is producing the show.
Some of the patrons at the show last year went home with extra satisfaction for grabbing laptop and tablet computer gifts from MTN.
There is reliable information that more goodies will flow for patrons again this year.
