I'm committed to peace because I'm a peaceful person - Mahama
The presidential candidate of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, says he is committed to the peace of the country because he is a peaceful person.

He, has therefore urged the clergy to take an active role in ensuring that all political parties adhere to processes that guarantee peaceful elections, especially in matters concerning the credibility of the voters' register.
He said as the leader of the main opposition party, he will ensure that the NDC upholds peace.
The former President made these remarks during a meeting with the clergy in Accra on Tuesday, October 1, 2024.
The purpose of the meeting was to seek the prayers and guidance of the religious leaders as part of his campaign for Election 2024.
Mr Mahama also encouraged the church's leadership to be actively involved in the election process, particularly in the tallying of results, to ensure transparency and fairness.
