ENI completes gas infrastructure upgrade

The Ministry of Energy and Green Transition has announced the completion of gas infrastructure upgrades by ENI, aimed at enhancing gas supply and supporting a reliable and sustainable energy future for Ghana.

The upgrade, which was scheduled for completion on Sunday, has increased the gas supply from 245 million standard cubic feet per day (MMscfd) to 270 MMscfd.

A statement signed by the Ministry’s Head of Communication, Richmond Rockson noted that the improved capacity would bolster the power sector and contribute significantly to the country's economic growth.

“This critical enhancement will help stabilise the power supply and improve the reliability of energy for homes, businesses, and industries nationwide,” the statement said.

The Ministry extended its appreciation to ENI and all stakeholders in the power sector for their collaborative efforts in achieving this milestone.

Reaffirming its commitment to energy stability, the Ministry assured Ghanaians that it will continue to work towards delivering consistent and sustainable power across the country.
