IT was a thriller at the Rev Michael Korblaivi Torsah Auditorium of the Assemblies of God Church at Ho-Ahoe on Boxing Day when the Ghanaian film, Days in Asylum was screened.

Days in Asylum, produced by Indigha Films and directed by Chris Defor, Evangelist Ablorde mysteriously disappears, leaving his wife Ese and young daughter, Abigail in anguish.

Mistaken for psychiatric patient, he is confined to a mental hospital where faith is ridiculed yet his presence begins to heal and inspire those around him.

As the hospital staff uncover a shocking identity error, Ablorde’s story reaches the outside world, turning a tragedy of mistaken identity into a powerful testimony of faith and divine purpose.

Things take a very exciting turn when a benevolent individual awards Abigail to continue her studies at more prestigious school.

Her mates who have all along avoided her as a mental a patient’s daughter, are now trying to build friendship with her.

More than 500 viewers turned up for the two-hour exciting film which featured local actors, Eric Avumegah, Joshua Francis, Nana Aba, Rose Kiki, and Nunana Biaku and others.

Days in Asylum is the fifth production by Indigha Films, after The Choice (2021), God and I (2022), Inner Burden (2023), and The Baker’s Daughter (2024).

Many are calling for an encore for the Days in Asylum.
