Egli Studios has launched Besties, a community initiative extending beyond digital content, with the inaugural Besties Summer Camp held from September 2 to 4.
Twelve girls, including the four original Best Girlfriends hosts, participated in a 60-hour residential experience designed to blend entertainment with meaningful learning and community building.
Aggor Yorm, Founder of Egli Studios and Camp Director, said the initiative was the next step in the studio's vision to create a space where girls could see themselves, hear their voices reflected and know they belonged.
The three-day camp featured welcome activities, pottery workshops, a beading and fashion masterclass with designer Kofi Akotua, cooking challenges, fitness sessions and outdoor games. A session with former Miss Malaika Ghana winner, Lady, addressed menstrual hygiene, including practical lessons on sanitary pad use.
Professional cameras captured the experience, including diary room reflections, for a reality television programme set to air soon.
Best Girlfriends launched as a podcast featuring four young female hosts discussing friendship, culture, dreams and personal development. It has since grown into a multi-platform phenomenon with a following across television, YouTube, TikTok and Instagram.
Egli Studios plans to expand the Besties initiative in scope and scale, reaching more girls across different regions and potentially creating year-round programming beyond the summer experience. The Besties reality television programme will debut soon on the Egli Studios YouTube channel.
