Fans meet Ama K for lunch
Three lucky fans of the award-winning actress and television personality, Ama K Abebrese, were treated to lunch after being named winners of the recent MCPR Celeb Connect service competition.

They were William Annor Pobee, Joyce Ayrakwa and Godfred Haeme, all from Accra. The fans spent an afternoon with Ama K Abebrese at new French eatery, The Maestro, in Accra.
The winners, who also walked away with goodies from the Dark and Lovely product range, were picked at random after subscribing to Ama K Abebrese’s Vobolos (voice blogs), which is part of the MCPR Celeb Connect service.
Developed in conjunction with MCPR, a celebrity PR agency in Accra, the MCPR Celeb Connect offers fans of celebrities the chance to get up-close with their favourite stars by subscribing to the Vobolos and listening in on daily basis to what their stars have to say.
Celebrities on the Vobolo service include Ama K Abebrese, John Dumelo, Yvonne Okoro and Chris Attoh.
Speaking at the lunch, Ama K Abebrese thanked her fans for their loyalty and love.
“It was a wonderful experience to sit and interact over meals with the people who listen to me daily on the Vobolo service,” she said.
Founder of MCPR and the personality behind the introduction of the MCPR Celeb Connect service to Ghana, Ms Makeba Boateng, was at the lunch event.

She said connecting celebrities to consumers was an inevitable development of the digital age and that, it had been happening online for some years now. “Using mobile voice is an added dimension,” she stated.
One of the fans, Godfred Haeme, also said he had been seeing Ama Abebrese on television and was excited to meet her in person for lunch.
