I don’t believe in ‘comebacks’ —Michy

Those hoping Cupid would draw his bow and shoot an arrow again to the hearts of Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale and his baby mama, Michy, to rekindle their love, will have to be disappointed, big time.

This is because although Shatta Wale has been toying with the idea of the two coming together again, Michy, will have nothing of that. She does not believe in comebacks so when it is over, it is really over for her.

Since the two broke up four years ago, the 2014 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) Artiste of the Year has been dropping hints on social media of his desire to be back with Michy with whom he shares a seven-year-old son, Majesty. His fans have also been expressing their desire to see Michy as their idol’s squeeze again.

But speaking with Graphic Showbiz on Monday, March 6, Michy, real name Diamond Michelle Gbagonah, said she did not see herself reigniting her relationship with Shatta Wale because everything happens for a reason in this world.

“I believe everything happens for a reason. When you break up with someone, you are supposed to learn from the experience and move on, and not go back to them. God knows why the two of you had to go your separate ways so why try to make it work again?” she asked.

When it was pointed out to her that the two of them looked good together so she should probably give renewing her love for him a thought, Michy said it was not about how good they looked together but what worked for them.
