I don’t believe in competition - Mzphill

In the ever-competitive Ghanaian music scene, it's refreshing to come across an artiste who's more focused on making a meaningful impact than competing with her peers.

And that is the goal of up and coming artiste, Mzphill, who says her approach to music isn’t to compete with her contemporaries but steadily make her mark in the industry.

She told Graphic Showbiz, “I'm not here to compete; I'm bidding my time”.,

This mindset is evident in her songs, Anadwo Yede and Fire which exudes a sense of passion, purpose, and dedication.

Her upcoming single, "Josiah", produced by Cyborg Music, is set to drop on Saturday, November 30, 2024, and she is confident it will be another soul-stirring addition to her repertoire.

“I understand that I should be competitive to help me level up in the industry but I define competition as getting better with my skills.

“Each song I release should be better than the previous ones and that is what I call competition. Being better and growing with my craft as well,” she said.

As Mzphill, real name, Philipa Aidoo prepares to release “Josiah”, she shares the inspiration behind with Graphic Showbiz.

“I firmly believe that everyone will encounter their own "Josiah" at some point on their journey. When that moment arrives, I hope we don't miss it,” she said.
