‘I'm sorry and I beg the whole nation’ - Chef Smith on false GWR cook-a-thon declaration
Ghanaian chef, Ebenezer Smith popularly known for falsely declaring himself a Guinness World Record (GWR) longest cooking marathon record holder, has apologised for his concocted claim.
Chef Smith called a press conference in Accra on Tuesday and claimed he was currently the reigning Guinness World Record (GWR) holder for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.

But checks with GWR indicated that the certificate Chef Smith showcased at the press conference is not from GWR.
In a video shared on social media on Saturday (July 6, 2024) Chef Smith is heard saying, "I'm so sorry, I don't deserve to…. I'm sorry and I beg the whole nation."
For him, his action has landed him in the troubles he finds himself now.
Chef Smith has been in the trends following his press conference.
