‘Master Richard’ to Nana: Mikki Osei Berko enstooled chief in Adamorobe

Popular Ghanaian actor and broadcaster Mikki Osei Berko, widely known as Master Richard or Dada Boat, has taken on a new responsibility beyond the entertainment space.

He has been installed as a chief in Adamorobe, a town in the Akuapem South Municipality of the Eastern Region. The ceremony was held on Friday, April 24, 2026, where traditional authorities formally enstooled him and bestowed on him the stool name Nana Osei Boakye Yiadom II. He is expected to serve as acting chief, as the substantive chief is advanced in age.

Videos circulating on social media captured moments from the ceremony, showing the actor taking part in customary rites. He was seen dressed in a fugu paired with shorts—an appearance that has generated both admiration and debate among online audiences.
