$1,100 to watch Ghana vs Colombia – Ticket prices released as fans face steep knockout costs

Ticket prices have been announced for Ghana's Round of 32 fixture against Colombia at Kansas City Stadium, with supporters facing costs of up to $1,265 as the government's ticket support scheme has come to an end.

The Ghana Football Association confirmed that two Supporter Tier categories are available for the match, scheduled for Saturday, July 4, at 1:30 am GMT. The Premier Supporter Tier is priced at $1,265, while the Standard Supporter Tier is selling for $1,100. Interested supporters can contact the GFA on +1 401 442 0580 for purchase details and availability.

Ghana secured their place in the knockout stage after finishing third in Group L with four points, while Colombia topped Group K unbeaten with seven points. The winner of Friday's clash will advance to the Round of 16.

The ticket announcement comes a day after the Ministry of Sports and Recreation confirmed the conclusion of the government's World Cup group-stage ticket support scheme. The Ministry stated that the ticket allocation covered only Ghana's three group-stage matches, with no provisions for any subsequent stage of the competition.

Under the scheme, 948 tickets were distributed for the match against Panama, 1,000 for the England match, and 974 for the Croatia match. The Ministry acknowledged the concerns of many Ghanaians who could not receive tickets, noting that demand was far higher than the number procured.

The Ministry has advised fans who wish to attend any further Black Stars matches to procure their tickets directly through FIFA's official ticketing platform or through accredited and authorised ticketing agencies.

The Ministry expressed appreciation to Ghana's Missions in Canada and the United States, recognised associations, supporter groups, and stakeholders for their support in coordinating the process, and confirmed that the list of persons, groups, and institutions who received tickets under the scheme will be published at a later date.
