The Ministry of Sports and Recreation has announced the conclusion of the Government's World Cup group-stage ticket support scheme, confirming that there will be no Government-supported ticket arrangement for any subsequent stage of the competition.
In a statement issued on Monday, the Ministry said the ticket allocation covered only Ghana's three group-stage matches and was not intended for commercial sale.
The tickets formed part of a coordinated national support intervention for selected Ghanaian supporters, recognised supporter groups, sponsors, stakeholders, and diaspora community structures.
The final ticket position under the scheme was as follows: 948 tickets for the match against Panama, 1,000 tickets for the match against England, and 974 tickets for the match against Croatia. The distribution process was coordinated through Ghana's Missions in Canada and the United States, recognised Ghanaian associations, supporter groups, sponsors, and stakeholder channels. Tickets were issued electronically through the FIFA mobile ticketing system to approved recipients.
The Ministry acknowledged the concerns of many Ghanaians who could not receive tickets, noting that demand was far higher than the number procured. "We fully understand the disappointment of supporters who could not be accommodated within the limited allocation," the statement said.
With Ghana having secured qualification for the Round of 32 where they face Group K winners Colombia at the Kansas City Stadium on Saturday, July 4, the Ministry made clear that there is currently no Government-supported ticket arrangement for any subsequent stage of the competition.

Fans who wish to attend any further Black Stars matches are advised to procure their tickets directly through FIFA's official ticketing platform or through accredited and authorised ticketing agencies.
The Ministry also expressed appreciation to Ghana's Missions in Canada and the United States, recognised associations, supporter groups, and stakeholders for their support in coordinating the process.
In line with its commitment to transparency and accountability, the Ministry said the list of persons, groups, and institutions who received tickets under the scheme will be published at a later date, once the appropriate publication format is agreed.
The Ministry remained grateful to all Ghanaians and supporters across the world and encouraged everyone to continue supporting the Black Stars with unity, discipline, and national pride.
