OD4 rebrands as Mavluz, set to release new song in December
Ghanaian Dancehall, Hiplife, and Afro Dancehall artiste OD4 has officially rebranded himself as Mavluz.
The new name marks a new chapter in his musical career, as he embarks on a drive to push the boundaries of contemporary music in the country and beyond.

In a statement from his management team, dated Wednesday, October 16, 2024, they indicated that the rebranding is more than just a name change—it represents a deeper transformation in the artiste’s vision and musical style.
"This transformation represents more than just a name change; it signifies a deeper evolution in artistic vision and sound. Mavluz is set to bring a fresh, dynamic energy to the music scene, reflecting growth, creativity, and a commitment to delivering an unparalleled auditory experience," his Manager, Nana Marfo noted.
Nana Marfo of Virma Records, Accra, who signed the statement, explaining that the name "Mavluz" said it embodies mystery, allure, and vibrant energy.
"It is a name that resonates with the artiste’s renewed focus and the innovative direction his music is taking. Mavluz is not just a persona; it’s an embodiment of the artiste’s evolution and his aspiration to connect with audiences on a more profound level," he explained.
For him, fans can expect a bold new sound that combines the essence of OD4’s previous work with exciting new influences and experimental elements.
He disclosed that to celebrate the rebranding, Mavluz will be releasing a highly anticipated new single titled [Mavluz] in December.

"This track is a testament to the artiste’s new direction and sets the tone for what is to come," he said, pointing out that "Additionally, a series of live performances and exclusive events are planned for the coming months, offering fans a chance to experience Mavluz’s new sound firsthand."
