Onua TV introduces new, exciting content
Onua TV, a subsidiary of Media General Group has lined up new programmes to excite its viewers and the general Ghanaian public.
Onua Maakye (Morning Show) and COVID-19 Nkomo kicked off on Monday, 27th April 2020, while a third show, 100 Degrees will debut today, Friday, May 1, 2020.
Onua Maakye is a daily, three-hour infotainment show from Monday to Friday between 6am and 9am. The magazine programme will tackle contemporary issues of concern to the citizenry.
COVID–19 Nkomo on the other hand, is a one-hour television show which gives updates on the COVID-19 pandemic, capturing the impact of the disease on various aspects of social life in the country. It also offers education and awareness creation for the public on how to avoid catching or spreading the novel Coronavirus.
According to the TV station, the COVID–19 Nkomo show will be heavy on audience engagement on social media and will be frequently interspersed with comments and posts of viewers. The show airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9am to 10am.
On Friday 1st May 2020, the station will premiere 100 Degrees, a one-hour political talk show with a ‘straight to the point’ host who won’t mince words nor shy away from probing topical issues.
The show will host political personalities from the various political parties, key personalities and duty bearers, as well as incorporate views of the ordinary Ghanaian citizen, thereby aiding them to contribute to the state of affairs. The programme will shed light on topical issues including corruption, elections and many more.
Hosts for these programmes will include Bright Kwesi Asempa, Adwoa Konadu Yiadom, Anokyewaba Adwoa Serwaa, Daniel Nana Kwame Yeboah and Christian Agyei Frimpong.
