Rapper Edem announces bid for NDC political office
After mentioning on many platforms that he is neutral and has no business with politics, rapper Edem has made a U-turn by announcing his bid for political office on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
In a Facebook post this evening, March 21, the Nyedzilo hitmaker disclosed that he has a big announcement tomorrow accompanied with a flier of himself indicating the political party he will be joining and probably contesting for.

“BIG ANNOUNCEMENT TOMORROW 4PM. #Gogetem #FullyActive”, he posted.
Even though Edem, who made an entry on the Ghanaian music scene with his first radio hit single, "Witine Woshi” in 2006 didn’t give any details, it is already anticipated that he is a likely candidate at the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential and parliamentary primaries to hold on Saturday, May 13.
Edem’s announcement brings to three, the number of creatives after actor, John Dumelo and Fred Nuamah, founder of Ghana Movie Awards announced their intention to contest at NDC’s upcoming general elections last month.
Fred and John are both contending for the Ayawaso West Wuogon parliamentary seat on the ticket of the NDC next year.
For now, all ears are itching for Edem’s big announcement tomorrow.
