Scribe Productions launches 10th anniversary

On Thursday, February 13, Scribe Productions launched its 10th-anniversary celebrations at the LLC –Auditorium of University of Ghana, commemorating a decade of delivering exceptional theatre experiences.

 Since its debut production, "This Family Is Not For Sale", on Valentine's weekend in 2015, Scribe Productions has consistently pushed the boundaries of storytelling, entertaining, and captivating audiences with outstanding content year after year.

The celebration themed, ‘A decade of impacting society through storytelling’, will see Scribe Productions reflect on its journey over the last decade through its plays.

As part of its anniversary celebration, Scribe Productions also unveiled its upcoming social initiatives, set to roll out in the coming months.

 Renowned for crafting authentic, life-changing stories that resonate deeply with Ghanaian audiences, the production house has built a repertoire of impactful plays, including the critically acclaimed "I Want To Sue God!", "Once Upon A Riddle", "The Boy Called A Girl", and "In The Pants Of A Woman".

Speaking at the launch, Kobina Ansah, CEO of Scribe Productions disclosed plans to venture into filmmaking.

“We are looking to expanding our scope into filmmaking. The next decade of Scribe is full of exciting moments,” he said.

Ghanaian actor and producer Fiifi Coleman noted in his keynote address that stories have the power to transform lives.

He narrated how some of his plays such as The Slaves and Still A Rose have made an indelible impact on his audience.

Scribe Productions is preparing for its new original musical this Easter. The musical is a one cast performance.
