Shatta and I have never spoken about 'Advice' - Joey B
HIP Hop artiste Joey B has revealed that he and Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale have never spoken about the diss track Advice by rapper Sarkodie.
On Advice, which was one of the biggest songs of 2018, Sarkodie used the beat of Joey B's hit single, Stables, in hitting back at Shatta Wale, who had in several interviews claimed the Lucky artiste was broke among other things.
Answering a caller's question on Drive Time with Lexis Bill on Joy FM on Monday, October 7, on how he felt about Sarkodie using his beat, Joey B, who is friends with both Shatta Wale and Sarkodie said, "I honestly didn't know about it. I was doing a show outside and I didn't have wifi. When I connected to wifi later, I saw Advice trending and I just sent an eyes emoji to Sark.
"Till date Shatta and I have never spoken about it and we are very good friends too. Shatta is a good person because he could have asked why I gave my beat to Sarkodie to use to diss him."
Joey B, who spoke on a myriad of things, also revealed that his father had been super supportive of his career.
"Since I became an independent artiste, he has been there in everything I do. Even now, he insists on doing things for me and I am the one who stops him.
"From my studio to every song you hear, my dad is behind it. For the Tonga video, he helped me fly Sarkodie outside etc.," he said.
The Strawberry Ginger artiste also disclosed that although he does not attend church, he has a very strong relationship with God.
