The long-running feud involving former P-Square members Peter Okoye (Mr P), Paul Okoye (Rudeboy) and their elder brother, Jude Okoye, has taken another dramatic turn following a series of fresh allegations by Mr P and Rudeboy's first public response.
From claims about family opposition to Peter's relationship with his wife, Lola, to an ongoing court battle over royalties and management of the group's business affairs, the latest chapter has once again thrust the famous family into the spotlight.
Mr P recounts emotional family confrontation
In the latest episode of his video series documenting the Okoye family dispute, Mr P alleged that shortly after Lola became pregnant with their first child, members of his family confronted the couple during a meeting at his home in Omole, Lagos.
According to him, the meeting was attended by their late mother, Josephine Okoye, brothers Jude, Rudeboy and Tony, as well as pastors.
Mr P claimed that Lola was not welcomed into the meeting and that she and Peter were left sitting on the floor while discussions took place.
He further alleged that their late mother informed Lola that the family wanted her to end the relationship with Peter.
The singer also claimed that Jude made derogatory remarks about his unborn child and that both Jude and Rudeboy opposed the pregnancy.
According to Mr P, an anonymous email questioning the paternity of the child was circulated within the family, while there were attempts to pressure Lola into terminating the pregnancy.
Speaking emotionally in another video shared on Instagram, Peter recalled publicly announcing Lola's pregnancy during the Soundcity Awards because he did not want the news to emerge from other sources.
He alleged that immediately after the announcement, Jude and Paul expressed concerns that the pregnancy would damage P-Square's career and insisted that Lola should abort the baby.
Mr P also rejected long-standing claims that Lola had a strained relationship with his late mother, insisting that his wife cared for Josephine Okoye during her illness and remained by her bedside for months.
Rudeboy finally responds
Following the viral videos, Rudeboy broke his silence with a brief but pointed message on social media.
"Unfortunately, you're not here to defend yourself. Continue resting, Mum."
Although he did not directly respond to the specific allegations levelled against him, many interpreted the post as a defence of their late mother against the claims made by Peter.
Rudeboy has largely stayed away from the public exchanges surrounding the family dispute, with his management previously indicating that the singer remains focused on his music career.
Jude dismisses royalty allegations
The family drama extends beyond personal relationships to legal and financial disputes.
Responding to Mr P's allegations that he diverted more than $1.2 million in music royalties, Jude Okoye denied any wrongdoing, insisting that all royalty payments were properly documented and distributed according to existing agreements.
In a video shared on Instagram, Jude accused Peter of attempting to influence public opinion while court proceedings remain ongoing.
He maintained that records from digital distributor IROKO showed Peter instructed that his share of royalties be paid directly into his personal account, while payments belonging to Jude and Rudeboy were transferred to Northside Entertainment.
Jude also rejected claims that Peter had been removed as a signatory to the group's bank accounts, stating that official banking documents presented before the court proved otherwise.
He further disputed allegations that P-Square's music catalogue was deliberately withheld and insisted that the requested backend records were handed over within days.
Speaking on the personal impact of the legal battle, Jude revealed that his bank accounts had remained frozen for more than two years, affecting both his finances and ability to travel.
'I never wanted P-Square back'
In another recent revelation, Mr P disclosed that he never truly wanted a P-Square reunion, explaining that years of alleged betrayal and unresolved differences had made reconciliation increasingly difficult. He maintained that the issues affecting the family went far beyond music and business, insisting the breakdown of trust had become irreparable.
A family feud with no end in sight
The latest exchanges add another chapter to one of Africa's most publicised family disputes.
What began as disagreements over the management of P-Square has evolved into a bitter conflict involving allegations of financial misconduct, family relationships, trust and betrayal.
While Mr P continues to publicly share his version of events through his video series, both Rudeboy and Jude have either denied the allegations against them or declined to engage extensively, noting that several matters remain before the courts.
With legal proceedings still ongoing and fresh revelations continuing to emerge, the P-Square saga shows little sign of ending anytime soon.
